Creating Driver & Port Tags for MicroLogix 1400

I have a MicroLogix1400 connected directly to our SCADA server utilizing the TCP/IP port of the PLC. I'm having some problems in setting up the driver and port tags. I've only had some success when using the older tags, but wanting to learn more about the Rockwell Driver tag. The port tag was easier for me to setup than the driver tag. I've pointed the connection TCP/IP Name/Address as the IP of the PLC along with a 44818 TCP/IP Port Number. When I go to create the Driver tag. I'm not entirely sure on which options to use. I tried leaving all of the options defaulted and I have even tried using the PCCC over CIP (Data File Addressing) option. I left the Port Segment Path to the default setting of [1,0] and everything else is left at the default. Whatever I do I just can't seem to have a 0 placed in the value spot on the tag browser.

You could try [] in the port segment path, What value are you getting in for the driver and the port? A non-zero value will often show an error correlating to the issue:

I honestly do not remember, but I believe I was getting a 0 in the port and maybe -10230 in the driver value. I ended up figuring it out though. I cannot set up the PLC to talk through to the SCADA server because the IP I'm using for the MicroLogix 1400 has not been added to the firewall rules. I've got a version of VTScadaLight where I can get a connection to the MicroLogix1400 through Ethernet/IP. I wasn't sure If I mentioned it before, but the ML1400 is directly connected to my Office SCADA Desktop. I actually like doing that more considering I can separate a dev environment vs. work SCADA.
