One way I've done it is by creating an external alarm trigger while the pump shows it is running. I'm not sure what your SCADA looks like, but I'd imagine you're talking about a liftstation pump. We have a digital status tag created for a pump 1 running. When you go through the various menu of the digital status tag. You will see external alarms, in that section of the digital status tag. You can add a trigger to alert an operator of how long the pump has been running. I hope this helps. You can also do the same thing with the IO and Calculations tag as well. There is no physical wiring done with this particular setup, but that could be achieved by other means as well.
