OPC UA Tag value not displaying

I've connected to a local OPC UA, can browse the nodes and have imported a tag. In the tag properties, if I select the tag helper OPCUA button, it shows the current value of the variable.

My problem is it doesn't show the value either in the tag list, or when drawing the tag.

I'm afraid I've missed something, but I just can't find it.

Thanks in advance

I think, even though VT can see the value of the variable, my client certificate is not trusted on the server side, and so the subscription mechanism is failing. I will get my cert trusted and update....

Let us know how this goes. Note that we plan to make the encryption options more flexible for UPC UA in a future build.

I tested with UAExpert client, with same certificate, but in a .der format with the private key, and that connected to my freeopcua python server and browsed and received updates.

I've adjusted different auth and connection settings, but the best I can do in VT is connect with no errors but not be able to browse data.

I'm no UA expert, so I'm prossibly doing something wrong. My use case also allows for an mqtt server, and i've switched my focus to that for now, as that is functioning very well.

On the Diagnostic tab of the OPC UA Client Driver is a check box for minimum security. Try checking that and see if there is comms. Don't close the the tag config folder for the OPC UA Client Driver or the box will uncheck.
