You are correct. The bug has been acknowledged and is being worked on by the team at Google. The issue has to do with touch coordinates after scaling the page using pinch-to-zoom. If you zoom all the way out, squint, and sharpen your finger (or try a stylus), you should be able to tap your login to get the expected behavior.
We do have a new version of the software which will circumvent this issue that should be available in the next few weeks. Also, a Chrome patch, when released, will fix the issue on your current version of VTScada. Note you can also use another browser such as FireFox.
Note that closing the browser tab should also log you out of your session shortly after the browser is closed.
