Is there a way to acknowledge alarms via OPC?

Looks like VTSCADA’s OPC server functionality exposes tag values and some properties, but no alarm info or acknowledgement ability.

Is external OPC alarming and acknowledgement only doable with script trickery or “PLC Alarm” tags?
