The VTScada graphics library is located in VTScada\VTS\Bitmaps. The use of the term Bitmaps is a holdover from many years ago and no longer represents the actual makeup of the graphics library, which includes approximately 3000 WMF (vector), 1000 BMP (nonvector), 4600 PNG (nonvector) and 3000 SVG (vector). Some of these files are in more than one format. The development team noted this is because of our new Anywhere (Thin) Client, which is HTML5. Some browsers do not support WMF graphics, thus we have duplicated them as SVG versions for use with the Thin Client. When the Thin Client code is automatically generated, the WMF files are automatically replaced with the SVG versions.
So, if clients want to add new vector graphics to the VTScada library, these should be added to the bitmap library as both both WMF (for use in standard VTScada displays) and SVG (for use on the Thin Client). There are a number of products that can do the conversion between these two formats.
