Answer: If your security account permits you to view historical data, you can create custom trends by simply clicking one or more data-driven objects on a display page or using the easy tag selector in the Historical Data Viewer (HDV).

If you would like to share these trends others, you can save them as a trend group. Once saved, all users (who are permitted to view historical data) will be able to open saved trend groups using a drop down in the top left corner of the HDV.

No application configuration required.

Be careful if you are using realms and group sign in. If you are logged in to a realm (or logged in as an administrator with no group) and create a tag group, that group is only visible to users in the same realm. In the case of administrators, the tag group will be made without an associated group and only administrators will be able to see it.

We've created a bunch of custom trends and lost them all, twice so far. Where are they stored? They don't seem be included in the changesets.
