Hi,
In the Programmer's guide document, there is a "A 15-Minute Snapshot Report" section that show you can use the \SnapshotReport function to create a custom Snapshot Report. Is there an equivalent function for total report that also allow custom time frame?

Windows 10 update KB4056892 prevents the VTScada Internet Client (VIC) from being launched using the VTSX desktop program on client computers with that update installed. Other VTScada Thin Client formats, including those for all mobile devices, are unaffected (see work arounds below).

How do you control how often the plot data widget updates? It's fine on the local machine, but the internet clients have a slow connection. The plots show "data retrieval in progress" more often than they show the plot line. I'd like to slow it down specifically on the clients, but would be OK setting it slower on the project if that's the only way.

I have a client that likes the "arc" gauge widget. I can't figure out the decimal formatting on that one. Some tags display a decimal, while others show a whole number.
Some of the gauges let you specify the number of digits to display after the decimal. How can I set that on the arc gauge? Is there an expression to use?

When you try to do a "Plain Excel XLS File" report, it fails with the error "Unable to generate report. Invalid data source."
You can also get a similar response when you try to use the print wizard on the Historical Data Viewer.
It appears this is being caused by changes to the Microsoft JET drivers in an October update. The new JET drivers can be found here for 2010 -

Is there a way to send unacknowledged alarm status or new alarm status back to the PLC? We need to be able to set a bit in the PLC whenever a new alarm is generated. VTScada Light V11.2

I am wondering how I can read data into VTScada from a general RS232 connection given that the data packet format is known.
Is it possible to read a csv file into the VTScada historian? If I had a csv file on a computer that was constantly updating, could this csv file be read by the historian and stored?

Isn't there a way to lock objects, and see which object is on which layer, and lock and turn off layers. And a way to know and decide which object to chose.
I am making Widgets with 5-6 icons on top of each other at several places, opacy turned on by digital inputs, and changes affected by alarms and warnings. It is a nightmare to pick the right object.

What does it mean what a trend says data retrieval in progress? Everything works fine at first, but when I look at the trends after my project has been running a while none show data and say "Data Retrieval in Progress".
I have recently downloaded and installed VT SCADA on my desktop. We are about to purchase the full version and I want to do some training and testing at my desk. I have installed in on two other computers and it works fine. But for some reason on my desktop it shows the start splash screen and then just shuts down and closes before it actuals starts the program. The desktop is fairly new and

Unknown Socket Error
Which if I understand these things will generate a retry because these are TCP port devices.
How can I get these to be less scary to the end user.
I tried explaining the function of the outer ring and why it turns red, but to no avail.

I started a project in VTSCADALight, but had to get a license due to the tag count. How do I activate the license on an existing installation? Couldn't find this anywhere in the software or the help files.

I have been having some problems with import/export of tags.

Window is stuck here. Constantly processing. But I can see the changes is done in the running VTScada. Impossible to close the window, I must kill it with Task Manager.
Earlier problems:
Stuck at Exporting, never gets finished.

Hello.
I want to extract ONLY the Description of the last Active alarm, and put in a tag. This way I can set any font size on the dynamic alarm text.

Hello.
I can't figure out how my scenario is special, but I cannot find any settings for this.
I have a Roster with 10 persons.
First person - gets alarm, does not Ack.
Second person - gets alarm, does not Ack.
Third person - gets alarm, ACK's by email - get's confirmation on ACK
Second person wakes up - ACK's the alarm, does not get an answer.
