I'd like to monitor, decode, and "interact" with a Modbus RTU device. Nothing complicated, I don't think. When I say interact the "linking" of meters/graphs to some of the registers etc would be really a nice to have and that seems to be inherent to your application.

how can I tell if I have a runtime license or if I have a developer runtime license and I'm running in runtime?

I grouped shapes together and now I want to know how to rotate them, if possible. The rotate icon in the ribbon is grayed out.
The text at design-time in the Multi-line text widget is wrapping, but the text is all on one line with no wrapping at runtime; how does one get the text to wrap in the Multi-line text widget at runtime?

Hi Guys. I'm installing VTScada in place of another SCADA system and need a way to replicate the old watchdog functionality that they were using. Currently, their old SCADA system toggles a bit for each RTU, based on a set interval, and that bit is tied to a point in the RTU that will cause an alarm on site, if the bit stops toggling (loss of comms).

One of our clients that we recently converted from WW (yay!) is going to upgrade servers soon. Wondering what the method is to transfer existing license from one PC/Server to another. The license was just purchased and is still under support. Thanks!
Our application style is a container one having three windows:
Top: Toolbar with several subsystems, each having submenu action buttons. Action button change the graphic represented in middle window
Middle: Graphic application area
Botton: Alarms
Is it possible to create a VTScada application with this shape?

Hi,
We have been unable to configure our ModbusTCP driver to 0 address offset. Can you please advise?
We did the following:
1) Make a Context Tag (which will be the parent of the TCP driver)
2) Go to Settings, and add a property: "ModiconTypedAddr1Offset". We set the value to 0.
We have also been unable to write to coils. Could you provide an example of how to write specific bit

Redundant server configuration (Primary + Backup)
Primary server online and working OK
Backup server ready but in standby mode (no coms/history..)
Several Operator Workstation on local network
The operators normally logged in Primary server
Then, primary server shuts down by any anomaly or forced event.
The question is how the Operator Workstations recover connection with Backup

How to call 'tag configuration/properties' window in a module/script ? (using code)
The VTScada on my laptop will not run as an application.
Every time I try to launch it, I get
Error "VTScada is currently running as a service"
"Starting VTScada as an application requires stopping the service, which could disrupt other users or the operation of this installation.
It is recommended that configuration be performed on a machine that doesn't host a VTScada service.

This is a question I was asked by a customer recently:
Q – What is the easiest way to do a daily pump run report for 5 years?
A – The built-in Pump Activity Report should work. It provides you with activity over the entire time frame, not daily over x years. You'd have to run it for the previous day and then have (5*365) = 1825 previous periods. Not allowing for leap years.

Is CSV Import to Historian supported on VTScadaLight?
I am trying to import historic data from CSV files into some tag history. I followed all the instructions on the process, but when I restart the application, it does not load the CSV files after loading and starting the tags.

Hey everyone.
I am trying to use excel to read the tag values from my application, in the example in this link https://www.trihedral.com/help/Content/D_DataSharing/D_DDEServer.htm
It says to use
=VTS|'AppName'!'TagName\Value'
For my application I would think it would be
=VTS|'HMI'!'DUPREE_WTP_DRIVER\DUP_HSP1_PDAY_RT\Value'
HMI being the app name and then the tag

Hi,
I want to send SMS to notify alarm event.
To do that, I would like to connect a GSM modem which is connect to the workstation trough a Serial-to-USB converter.
I add a Serial Port tag then SMS appliance as child but I don't really how to configure them.

Single Application on 3 different Servers that are connected via radio link.
Call them ServerA, ServerB, ServerC
3 PLCs (actually more but this is good enough) each PLC is located in proximity to its similar server

We are trying to establish a connection from our clients on a local network to the primary application server. Firewalls have been disabled and I am using a LAN network for testing.
